
President Tsai Ing-wen met with the guests of the 7th Yushan Forum this morning (13th), expressing her gratitude for their concern about Taiwan's issues and for providing valuable observations and suggestions through the forum. The President stated that Taiwan will continue its efforts to maintain regional peace and stability, actively participate in international affairs, and deepen partnerships with various countries. She looks forward to collaborating with more like-minded nations to contribute to global peace, stability, and prosperity.
President Tsai thanked all the distinguished guests for traveling such long distance and mentioned her past interactions with Ambassador Kelly Craft and Dr. Ralph A. Cossa. She emphasized that Taiwan will continue its efforts to maintain regional peace and deepen international cooperation.
Former Ambassador Craft expressed her support for Taiwan during her speech, praising President Tsai and the Taiwanese people for their courage in facing global challenges. She emphasized that the American people will continue to stand with Taiwan because freedom is the most powerful force in the world, and that autocrats and terrorists will fail.
Other guests included former NATO Deputy Secretary General Alessandro Minuto-Rizzo, former New Zealand Trade Minister Tim Groser, Indian MP Sujeet Kumar, and former Senior Director for Asian Affairs at the U.S. National Security Council Ivan Kanapathy, accompanied by Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao and Foreign Minister Joseph Wu.
